Just started rewatching this show that I loved as a kid. Was definitely fun to dive into a few of the books.

This one was really fun. Each story is presented as its own mystery and the Ghostwriter team collects clues. At the end, they solve the case, but the reader is given the chance to figure it out themselves, with hints given to help guide them to the answer. This was such a fun way to set up the book. I loved having the chance to solve the mysteries and figure out different codes along the way including a word search, a rebus message, and clues hidden in pictures. The answers are written in the back for readers to check.

Each story is well-written and feels true to the show and the characters. There are black and white illustrations throughout.

As it was written in the 90s, there is an offhanded comment about Inuit people that’s a bit stereotypical, which may be worth discussing.

Definitely a fun read. I really enjoyed this one.
