| Such a beautiful book. I loved the story and the illustrations. This gorgeous adventure brings back memories of first discovering the library. The illustrations are lovely. It was wonderful to get to see parts of the New York Public Library on each page. I also really enjoyed the story. Heartwarming and adorable. The language used it very musical. I was pleasantly surprised by the soothing rhymes and fantastical descriptions (“The ceiling above was twelve elephants tall/ And dozens of buffalo wide” was my favorite). At the end of the book are a few facts about the actual library and the parts featured in the book, which is a wonderful learning opportunity. All around just a splendid, splendid book.
