Akira and Kencho make plans to leave Tokyo, but first they must secure a new set of wheels. They reunite with an acquaintance at an RV show, team up, and hit the road. But the journey is not without unforeseen obstacles.
I wasn’t as interested in this one as the first two volumes. This was a slow point for me in the anime as well.
The third volume focuses on stumbling upon Akira’s former team leader and Akira’s battle to break out of his old habits. Unlike the previous volumes, this one deals with more tough topics than apocalyptic shenanigans, including toxic work environments, abusive parental dynamics, and controling relationships. Less humor overall, but does incorporate some nice messages about breaking free from control and doing want you want to do.
Way less fan service in this one, which was nice.
Hoping we get to cross off more bucket list items in the next volume.
